History of Mukojima
Mukojima has been known for its elegance and refinement since the Edo period.
Cherished by writers and artists, it grew into one of Tokyo’s long-standing hanamachi districts, where geisha continue to practice and preserve their traditional arts.
Today, Mukojima retains a sense of calm and dignity rooted in its local culture — a place where time-honored traditions quietly endure.
This experience offers a rare glimpse into Tokyo’s living cultural heritage.

Dinner
This experience includes a full-course kaiseki dinner — a beautifully arranged tasting menu that reflects the flavors of Japan’s four seasons.
Each dish is prepared with balance and refined presentation, highlighting the craftsmanship and hospitality unique to Japan.

OZASHIKI GAMES
Experience playful traditional games guided by geisha.
These games create a lively atmosphere where guests can interact directly with the geisha while learning about Japanese culture.
No special skills needed—just enthusiasm and willingness to participate!
Konpira-fune-fune
A rhythmic and lively hand game performed to traditional music.
Players face each other and match the geisha’s quick hand movements while chanting “Konpira-fune-fune”.
As the tempo rises, coordination slips and laughter fills the room — a simple yet charming glimpse into ozashiki play.

Tora-tora (Tiger-Tiger)
A traditional ken game played across a folding screen.
Players reveal one of three poses — Watonai (Kato Kiyomasa), Tiger, or Old Woman — in a rock-paper-scissors–style match.
The geisha’s chant builds excitement as each reveal brings laughter and surprise.

Bekuhai
A lively sake game that originated in Kochi Prefecture and later spread across Japan, played with a spinning top and special cups.
Players take turns spinning the top, and the result decides who must drink — and how.
Encouraged by the geisha’s laughter, the game blends elegance, humor, and a touch of challenge as the cups are raised in good spirit.

The Art of Kaiseki
Kaiseki is the highest form of traditional Japanese dining, where craftsmanship and hospitality come together in perfect balance.
Every course is prepared using time-honored methods such as grilling, simmering, steaming, and frying — techniques that enhance the natural taste, aroma, and texture of each ingredient.
Attention to detail extends to every aspect of the presentation, from the choice of ceramics to the color and placement of each element.
Through this graceful and meticulously composed meal, guests are invited to experience the true artistry of Japanese cuisine.
